Background Information.

Kisii Pentecostal Church (KPC) started in the year 2000 as a house fellowship with 10 believers. Both Sunday services and weekday meetings were held in Mr. James Makini's house located in Mwembe, west of Kisii town where they continued for a month. As time went by more believers joined the fellowship and as it continued to grow, members decided to have Pastor Ezekiel Ndubi (now Bishop), an ordained minister to establish the church.
The Pastor then directed the team to identify rental premises where the church could be started. Nyakongo Towers was identified in the Central Business District (CBD) of Kisii town, currently the headquarters of Kisii County. The Pastor having a vision of the future of the church he named it Kisii Central Pentecostal Church which he dedicated during a weekday meeting. The first Sunday service then took place on 4th June 2000 in Nyakongo Towers.
In 2004, land was acquired and a temporary structure put up. The Church is situated along Kisii-Nyanchwa road at Nyanchwa springs 'egetacho', a key natural resource streaming with fresh water for Kisii town residents and its environs. Given its strategic location, the church is easily accessible by all worshippers relying on various means of transport.
A fellowship that started with a few members has since grown to over 300 believers including children. Currently, a modern church with a seating capacity of about 1500 is under construction. The building will contain conference facilities, offices, and a guest wing.
The Sunday worship service programme starts at 8.00 am to 12.30 pm. It includes; morning glory, Sunday school / Bible study and the Main Church service that starts at 10.00 am. The church has home-cell fellowship programmes on Tuesdays and a prayer hour every Thursday between 5 - 6 pm in the main sanctuary as well as special programmes for the children, youth, women and men.
Currently, the organization structure of the church comprises; the Church Management Board, The Church Executive Committee, Pastoral team, Branch Church Committees, Departmental Committees, and other task committees. The membership and operations of the committees are guided by a democratic process with the involvement of the congregation with the guidance from the Holy word of God.
Kisii Pentecostal Church has been proactive in establishing branch churches in various locations to win many souls for Christ.
